Lyrical Lydia

We all love the movie Tangled here.  Espcially Liddy.  So much in fact that my darling 2 1/2 year old daughter who doesn't have more than 100 words in her vocabulary can say "simpatico" complete with air quotes.  Frying pans-who knew, right?

Lyrical Lydia #3

We were at Home Depot, Jeremy was showing us the huge Christmas reset he had done that week. We pointed to a giant inflatable Santa Claus and asked Lydia, "Who is that?" Lydia replied, "GRANDPA!"

Lyrical Lydia #2

She actually said a word! My screensaver on my computer is bubbles, and when it turned on yesterday, she ran to it and yelled, "BUBBLES!" I was so happy, I clapped my hands and hugged her. Aidan got excited and did the same. And not to be outdone, Wyatt followed after. Now, every time she says "bubbles," she expects a ticker tape parade.

Little does she know that when she finally says, "Mama," I am throwing her a party ;) !!!!

Lyrical Lydia #1

Lydia doesn't talk yet. She says a lot (and loudly) but she doesn't make sense. Everything is DaDa. But, the other day, we were singing the Batman theme song (Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da BATMAN!) and laughing. Lydia thought we were funny too, and after we sang the Da Da's part, she contributed by screaming out "BATMAN!" as clear as a bell. So, yup, my daughter first word is Batman.
